Their need

LM provides retail, restaurant, and leisure leasing and asset management advice on The Glades, Bromley, a strong London commuter town. We were challenged to enhance the tenant mix by elevating the retail and leisure offers to maximise appeal, spend, and loyalty of aspirational customers in the catchment area.

Our approach and thinking

Key to our strategy is to enhance the “London Village” feel of the upper mall. Therefore, creating a distinct point of attraction and an elevated ‘destination’ experience.

Joint results

Utilising our specialist restaurant and leisure expertise, the decision was made to split the former Debenhams by floor and create a mix of prime fashion retail alongside family leisure uses. This enables us to attract quality fashion brands that would normally shy away from a shopping centre environment.

Our work in diversifying the tenant mix in this asset is the next stage in future-proofing the Glades, by extending trading hours, creating an aspirational positioning, and boosting food and beverage spend.
